  16. I am having some problems sending a fax
  17. via Microsoft Exchange when sharing a fax
  18. modem. I can send faxes just fine from the
  19. file server (where the fax modem resides),
  20. but when sending from a workstation (which does
  21. not have it's own fax modem),
  22. nothing happens.

  24. Faxes simply sit in the Outbox folder on the 
  25. workstation. They never make it to the Sent 
  26. folder on the workstation. I think the fax
  27. is TRYING to go, but something is "in limbo".
  28. The reason I think that is that when I go to shut 
  29. down the computer, I get a message that some task
  30. is still TRYING to run.  I am forced to END TASK
  31. in order to shut down.

  33. I have gone through the steps of configuring the 
  34. file server as a fax server in MS Exchange AND 
  35. configuring the workstation as a client to the 
  36. fax server (file server) in MS Exchange...
  37.  
  38. I have tried sending faxes from the workstation
  39. while having the MS Fax driver installed
  40. on BOTH the file server and the workstation. 
  41. I have also tried it having the MS Fax driver on JUST 
  42. file server, since I am sharing the file server's
  43. fax modem. Made no difference...

  45. Whenever I try sending a fax from the workstation
  46. when I do not have MS Exchange (Inbox) running
  47. on the file server, I receive a message that the
  48. file server is not running.  When I then turn on
  49. MS Exchange on the file server, this complaint
  50. seems to go away.

  52. Any ideas on what's wrong with this picture?!

  54. Another loosely related problem...
  55. Whenever I have the spell check option turned on
  56. in MSExchange, I get two different spell checker errors.
  57. I was under the understanding that this option would work
  58. if I have another 32-bit application containing a dictionary.
  59. I have Works for Win95, but whenever I send a fax either
  60. from Works or from MS Exchange, I get these spell checker 
  61. complaints...!
